System Information
All system information relevant to the operator is displayed on the right-side of the desktop using the Conky system monitor.
The system information is broken into several buckets:
- Date / Time
- System
- Network
- Interfaces
- Operator
- Mode
- Build number
Date / Time
This section presents the current date and time.
- Local - The current local time using the timezone selected during the installation.
- UTC - The current time in UTC.
- GPS Time -
Yesif the time is currently synchronized via GPS, andNootherwise. Theet-timecommand is used to drive this data point.
System
- Uptime - The amount of time that the system has been running.
- CPU Util - The average CPU utilization across all cores.
- Disk Free - The remaining disk space on the root (/) filesystem.
Network
- IP - The main IP address of the system if networking is configured.
Interfaces
The Interfaces section shows the current-state of the plug-and-play system.
- Radio - The current radio configured by
et-radio. (Does not mean the radio is connected) - CAT -
Connectedif the system can communicate with the radio via CAT control or PTT control, andNot connectedotherwise. - GPS - lat/lon if GPS is connected and has a 3D fix,
No fixif connected but trying to get a GPS fix, andNot connectedotherwise. - Audio - Shows the currently detected sound card, and
Not connectedotherwise.
Operator
- Callsign - The current callsign configured by
et-user. - Grid - The current maidenhead grid configured by
et-user.
Mode
Shows the current mode set by et-mode.
JS8Call is technically a mode, but is never displayed here.
Known Issues
If the system information (i.e. Conky) does not start up automatically upon login, press the Windows key and type in conky. Click the conky application icon.
