First Login

EmComm Tools Community is designed with near-zero configuration in mind. Assuming you have a supported radio, simply perform the following:

Open a terminal by clicking on the terminal icon in the upper-left hand corner.
Run et-user to set your callsign, maidenhead grid, and Winlink password. If you are not a current Winlink user, leave the password field blank and simply press [ENTER].
Run et-radio to select your radio.
Turn on your radio and configure it based on the notes provided by et-radio.
Connect your radio via the USB cable.
Run et-mode to select a mode of operation.
